Overnight, day or specialty camps at the Y share one thing: They’re about discovery. Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, it’s fun too.
Camping, like many programs, is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. Kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group as they engage in physical, social and educational activities.

RESIDENT CAMP
Resident camps at the Y are all about discovery. Kids and teens have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lifelong friendships and memories. And, of course, it’s fun too. From Camp Osceola in the 1920s to today, YMCA Camp is a tradition in Anaheim. Whether a short adventure at Winter Weekend Camp (ages 8-12), or a week-long experience exploring the wilderness at Camp Miehana (ages 8-16) hundreds of campers have the opportunity to have life-changing experiences and personal discovery.
The Anaheim Family YMCA’s award-winning camp programs are run by trained volunteer leaders and staff, who have dedicated their lives to helping young people grow physically, mentally and spiritually. Camp leaders are sensitive to every youth’s diverse needs and unique personalities and strive to create a valuable experience for everyone.
