Summer is in full swing and the Anaheim Family YMCA is brimming with excitement for the future we’re building together. We’ve had a season filled with remarkable experiences, fueled by the unwavering spirit of our community.
This summer, we witnessed the launch of the Angels Nike RBI League, a fantastic collaboration with the Angels Baseball Foundation. We were also thrilled to host Anaheim Ducks Prospects for a special street hockey clinic at our Anaheim Achieves day camp. We celebrated the grand opening of a brand new, kid-designed playground at Little People’s Park! This project, a collaboration with KaBOOM! and The CarMax Foundation, exemplifies the power of community in creating spaces that nurture a child’s imagination and encourage healthy play.
Your incredible support for our “40 Kids in 40 Days” Annual Campaign was truly inspiring! Thanks to your generosity, we raised an astonishing $139,000. These funds will ensure that vital programs and services continue to reach children in need within our community.
The future looks even brighter with Congressman Lou Correa’s significant $850,000 Federal Earmark allocated towards the expansion of our Community Complex. This expansion will be completed by May 2025, creating even more opportunities for people of all ages to pursue healthy lifestyles.
