The Anaheim Family YMCA announces Rachel Pavez as the new Accounting Director, effective August 24, 2023.

In her new role, Rachel Pavez will support the work of the Y by managing all fiscal responsibilities, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer on accounting projects, and providing support to all departments to ensure safety/risk management policies and procedures are implemented.

After Rachel finished high school, she enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps where she served for five years, traveled to approximately eight countries, and lived in five different states. Shortly after, she left the Marine Corps and decided to pursue a bachelor’s in science degree in accounting with the University of Maryland and has been working in the field for the last few years.

She is a lifelong sports fan of the Anaheim Angels, the L.A. Lakers, and the L.A. Kings. She enjoys watching football, MMA, and Olympic sports. Over the years, Rachel has pursued many volunteer hours with children’s organizations, teaching swimming and providing support to the Special Olympics.
